Laurent Reypens has spent his entire career painting the same subject: the ‘Bowl’ by the Belgian ceramics company ‘Royal Boch’. Through his consistent use of the ‘Bowl’ motif, he has developed his own symbolic language. The work is contemporary and timeless, employing a classic Flemish technique. His monochrome paintings, bronze and glass works are usually displayed as integral features within buildings of character. This series therefore includes the ‘Residence’ with its royal portraits, tapestries and a piece of Belgian history in London.
